VisioLang is designed to minimize data collection. Students are not required to create accounts, provide email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information (PII). Students access the platform using teacher-issued class codes and seat codes only.
VisioLang does not display advertisements. Student data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is used exclusively to deliver the educational feedback service.
VisioLang is designed to support district compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Because we do not collect direct student identifiers, the risk profile is minimal. Teachers and administrators retain control over class data, and VisioLang acts as a school official with a legitimate educational interest when processing student submissions.
Because VisioLang does not collect personal information from students — including email addresses, names, or other identifiers — our platform aligns with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Student participation is managed entirely through teacher-controlled class codes, and no direct relationship is established between VisioLang and the student.
Districts and schools maintain full control over their data. District administrators can manage teacher access, review usage, customize data retention periods, and request data deletion at any time. See our Data Retention & Deletion page for more details.
